      ‘‘True to size’’

These hiking boots are true to size. I am size 9.5 and these are a great fit. I probably should have sized up for thicker socks, but I'm concerned they'd be too big and my heel would slip around too much. They were comfortable out of the box, and are light and sneaker-like but definitely feel more rugged and protective on hikes. They run a bit hot, I suppose because of the waterproof layers. I hope this will be a good thing in colder climates.
