"I was really excited about these boots. They are warm, without being bulky and I like how they look. Unfortunately, the quality has not been at all what I expected. I’ve only had the boots less than 6 months and I have not worn them much and the rubber on the sole is already breaking down. I’ve had to get shoe goo to fill a tear in the front to keep from flapping and the leather on the toe area is thinning and wearing away. All that after I struggled to get these boots to initially fit. They are a bit long for the size but very narrow. I had to use different footbed inserts to mitigate rubbing and blisters and tried a boot stretcher to help with the narrowness."

Get the size of your running shoes
"I am a size 9 in regular shoes and a size 10 in Brooks Adrenaline running shoes. I got a size 10 in these boots and they fit well. So I would say get the size of your running shoes if you have them. The boots are sturdy and will definitely need some wearing-in to be fully functional and comfortable. They are a bit snug at first and pretty narrow. Stiff sole will require some walking to loosen up. Pretty typical for new boots, though. They seem well made."

- Can the insole / footbed be taken out? Due to foot problems I need to wear custom insoles and take the original insole out of the shoe.
